Much to my excitement, my boyfriend chose to take me to Barcelona for my 21st birthday! A trip that was supposed to be a surprise for me to receive on the morning of August the 4th, was actually accidentally found out by me a good 4 months prior to this.. oops! I stick by the fact that it was accidental! I'd always wanted to go to this city, so I was absolutely over the moon when I discovered the destination.

People usually plan something like a long weekend trip or a 3 to 4 day trip here, as a chance to explore the sights and experience the Spanish culture. However we went for a long 7 day break, and we saw and did so much In this beautiful place.

After what has been dubbed one of London's most 'Instagrammable' cafes (See Vogue's: The Most Instagrammable Places in London)  I just had to pay this pretty pink little building a visit.  After all, my Instagram photo-taking is pretty poor, So I thought great, what a perfect way to take some cute snaps.. and eat a sugar packed, butter-cream piled cupcake whilst on a healthy eating whim.
Will power: 0.

So on a day with temperatures that plummeted to -3, I made my way through the rabbit warren that is the ever so posh Belgravia, SW1. Yes there were Bentley's outside every other house and yes I had approximately 3 moments of day-dreaming where in each I lived a lavish life in one of these beautiful white pillar boasting mansions.

Deep in the Balinese Jungle, quite literally off the beaten track, I found a hidden gem; Jungle Fish. The road there was long, hot and a little scary. Scary why? Scary because you lose all signs of civilisation five minutes after leaving the bustling tourist lined streets of Ubud, the village dubbed as Bali’s cultural hub. You also lose the nice flat roads that are the norm in the areas popular with the everyday traveller, in exchange for near vertical hills taken up by locals who were riding with utter ease and a certain level of speed I might add. The journey was fascinating don’t get me wrong, I mean who can say they’ve driven through and past rice paddies whilst sharing roads with the odd strolling monkey and horse drawn carriage in the modern day?

My biggest problem has always been the clarity of my skin. I have notoriously oily skin. Well I say oily, what I actually mean is 'combination', so its oily/normal/dry. But yes mainly oily unfortunately. I feel as though I have tried every affordable skin care product available over the counter. Nothing really seems to work. When I have small spots and blemishes I usually find cleansers and toners formulated to fight such skin problems help to keep acne away. However at this very moment in time I'm struggling with a path of acne on my cheek and nothing is working for me. This happens a lot. I'll have a lovely period of time where my skin is near enough clear with the odd spot here or there and then a horrible few weeks or months where I constantly have spots. One goes and three more appear.

So I ask, what actually works? I have recently bought a small hoard of what the industry now calls 'teen skin' products. Each one has a special key ingredient that claims to be the ultimate spot fighting agent. Well I have nothing to lose, so I'm going to try them all.

It's that time again, so soon. Although I had to wait slightly longer to get mine because, just my luck, Mr. Postman decided to pay my house a visit whilst I was away at college.. So I took a trip down to the post office yesterday afternoon to collect my parcel (Which stood out like a sore thumb amongst all of the regular ugly brown and plastic parcels dominating the shelf, just look at the pretty box!)

So lets take a look at what's inside this months box..
