KEEP IT BRIGHT!

I have found a diamond amongst the rough in a sea of clothing and lifestyle brands. Mainstream is not a word you would use to describe Keep It Bright. It's about everything that's worth anything in the world. Happiness is the key to living life to the full, and everything about this beautiful business reinforces that in all of its products. Keep It Bright is popular amongst Celebrities such as Miley Cryrus, Miranda Kerr, Ed Sheeran and many more famous faces.

The influence and pure genius behind this, is the stunning Zara Khalique, who lives and breathes positive thinking. Her Instagram account is dedicated to her business. She uploads images of her products everyday, amongst some truly inspirational and motivational quotes and messages that really make you stop and think for a second. Whenever Zara pops up on my feed, it always brings a little smile to my face. I don't just scroll past like I do to most other business' i follow, because its like Keep It Bright isn't all about money. Keep It Bright really does care about people, and if you take a look at the prices of the products they sell then you will realise that this really isn't just a business it's a 'Positivity Movement'  and 'A way of living' as self described on keepitbright.co.uk

Luscious locks, quirky tats and glowing skin. Miss Khalique is a beauty..
I've countlessly liked probably almost every post and reposted and saved numerous quotes and encouraging messages that Zara gifts to her nearly 60,000 followers. Here are a few of my favourite:
Read the quote above, and take it all in. Read it over a few times and really understand what it means. What does it mean to you?

This has got to be the one that means the most to me. Especially in my current stage of life. I'm a student, I did a year of Sixth Form. Hated it so I've basically been held back a year. I'm now currently (finally) in the second year of college, the last year of my course. I study Creative Media Production. I've loved studying media ever since the first year of secondary school when I designed a magazine cover and it unexpectedly won me a gifted & talented award for my I.T skills. I was 11 and it went straight to my head, ever since then I've had a clear career path. Magazine journalism/ fashion journalism. I've always been told that the media industry is extremely competitive and hard to get into. Members of my family have encouraged me in the past to change my goals and go down a more reliable route. I don't want that. I want a job where I can experience things you wouldn't do if you were to spend all day everyday in an office, or in a shop. No, I want to meet amazing people, do amazing things, work on amazing projects and travel the world and write about it. I want a fascinating life, one that I can boast about when I'm older and tell stories about to my grandchildren.

I'm struggling at the moment, I'm finding all of my coursework so difficult and my mindset keeps going off on a tangent. I need to remember why I'm staying up until 3 am on weekdays slaving away at an essay about target audiences and music video production. I want to do myself and my family proud, and get into the University of my choice and have the career of my dreams. My worst fear is having an 'Okay' job and an 'okay' life. I want to be excited about what each and everyday is going to bring me, something new and exhilarating everyday I hope.

My latest and first purchases reflect on my story above.

I bought a phone case, and a hand written print.

'BIG DREAMS, GOOD INTENTIONS, HARD WORK, POSITIVE MINDSET, PERSEVERANCE, HARD WORK, GRATEFUL HEART,SELF BELIEF, PRACTICE, SUCCESS'

I've had so many compliments on this simple yet powerful little case. It sets in stone the combination of different thoughts and feelings that you need to be successful and happy in life. I like to have my phone face down whilst working on an assignment at college, so I can read it to keep me going every now and then when my mind just seems to turn itself off.

Bad Picture but.. ( Scarf £12.99 from newlook.co.uk, Cardigan shawl £12 from forever21.com, watch Marc by Marc Jacobs £140 goldsmiths.co.uk )
'One day at a time. This is enough. Do not grieve over the past for it has gone; Do not be troubled over the future for it has not yet come. Live in the present and make it so beautiful, it will be worth remembering'
Sorry about the shine on the card..
